Press Release

In order to encourage foreign tourist arrivals, Government of India has decided to provide collective landing permits (and a visa on arrival) to those foreign tourists, who arrive in a group of four or more individuals by air or sea, and who are sponsored by Indian Tourism Ministry’s approved travel agencies (a list available on our website www.cgijeddah.com). Such a foreign tourist group may be granted collective landing permit (and a visa on arrival) for a period not exceeding 60 days, with multiple entry facilities upon furnishing a pre-drawn itinerary.

According to the new procedure, in order to avail this facility, the tourists or their travel agencies must fill in an application online (www.indianvisaonline.gov.in). Thereafter, the travel agent should submit the collective landing permit (and visa on arrival) request along with – (a) List of all tourists in the travel group, (b) Online Visa applications of all tourists, and (c) Pre-Drawn Itinerary – to the concerned Foreigner’s Regional Registration Office/Foreigner’s Registration office at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Calicut, Goa and Lucknow, 72 hours in advance. The travel agent must also furnish an undertaking to conduct the group as per the pre-drawn itinerary and extend a further assurance that no individual would be allowed to drop out from the group at any place.
