1. It has come to notice that a number of fake/unauthorized Websites are claiming to provide Indian e-Visa services. All applicants are requested to avoid using these links. A few such websites are listed below: e-touristvisaindia.com e-visaindia.com indiavisa.org.in evisaindia.com online-visaindia.com https://www.evisaindia.org/ https://www.visatoindia.org/ https://www.india-visa-gov.in/ https://www.indianevisaservice.org/ https://www.evisa-india-online.com/

2. Further, several local centers/maktabs are also rendering services to fill up Regular/ E-Visa applications of the applicants with assurances to provide Visa in 24 hours and charging very high fees. www.globalvisacorp.com is one such website falsely promising applicants for express service. Further, complaints have been received against FIFA GLOBAL, for Embassy Services, Hail Street and AL ETIMAD MODERN STATIONARY SHOP Mohammadiyah, Jeddah . Applicants should avoid using these centres and instead use authorized VFS centres .

This is in furtherance to our Public Notice dated 12th October, 2021 regarding issuance of first 500,000 tourist visa on gratis basis.

 

2.      It is now informed that issuance of Tourist visa on gratis basis has been discontinued w.e.f. 1st April, 2022. Tourist visa applications of all type / duration are now chargeable w.e.f. 1st April, 2022.

1. As per the existing instructions, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders are presently required to get their OCI cards reissued once a new passport is issued after completing 20 years of age.

2. In order to avoid inconvenience to OCI cardholders due to the prevailing circumstances on account of COVID-19 pandemic, it has been decided to extend the timeline till 31.12.2022 to all eligible foreigners to get their OCI cards re-issued.

3. It has also been decided that such OCI cardholders will be allowed to travel on the strength of their existing OCI card bearing old passport number, subject to the condition that the OCI cardholder will have to travel along with the new passport.

Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders are presently required to update details of new Passport each time a new passport is issued up to 20 years of age and once after completing 50 years of age & get their OCI cards reissued once a new passport is issued after completing 20 years of age.

 

2.      The Online OCI webportal has been suitably modified under “OCI Miscellaneous Services” to facilitate OCI cardholders and a detailed instruction in order to fill online application form and requirement may be accessed at the Online OCI webportal https://ociservices.gov.in/welcome.

 

3.      In addition, a separate sub-portal under the name “Apply for special Permission (Only form OCI cardholders)” has been created in the Online OCI webportal for convenience of OCI cardholders who are required to obtain Special Permission from concerned authorities to undertake certain activities in India.

Guidelines for renewal of OCI cards have been revised.

The new guidelines are given as under:

(i)     Mandatory requirement of re-issuance of an OCI card each time a new passport is issued to a foreigner up to 20 years of age and once after completing 50 years of age is dispensed with. 

(ii)     OCI cardholders are required to get the OCI card re-issued only once when a new passport is issued after completing 20 years of age.  

(iii)    However, OCI cardholders are required to upload ONLINE a copy of the new passport and a latest photo each time a new passport is issued to them up to 20 years of age and once after completing 50 years of age.  The uploading of these documents may be done within three months of receipt of the new passport.  The service will be provided on gratis basis. 

(iv)    Foreign Spouse of an Indian Citizen or spouse of foreign origin of an OCI cardholders are required to upload a copy of the new passport and also a latest photo ONLINE each time a new passport is issued along with a declaration on subsisting of marriage, copy of the Indian passport of the Indian spouse/passport & OCI card of the OCI cardholder spouse.

                                        PUBLIC NOTICE: Re-Issuance of OCI Cards and Travel of OCI Card Holders to India

As per latest regulations of Government of India:

The time line for re-issuance of OCI cards (Overseas Citizen of India cards) in respect of OCI card holders who may be required to get their OCI card re-issued, has been extended until 31.12.2021.

The requirement of carrying old and new passports along with the OCI card has been done away with. Henceforth, the OCI card holders travelling on the strength of their OCI card bearing old passport number are not required to carry their old passport while travelling to India. However, in such cases, it is advised that carrying of both the old and new passports helps an OCI card holder.

                                                                                PUBLIC NOTICE

OCI card holders who have obtained a new passport and have not yet updated the new passport details in the OCI card, are eligible to travel to India on the strength of their old OCI cards. However, it is mandatorily required to carry both the old and new Passports in case the OCI cardholder is travelling on the strength of OCI card bearing old passport number in it, in order to avoid problems that may arise at any point of their journey to India.
